The E.L.D.O.A is a revolutionary form of postural exercise used to treat all sorts of bodily pain. The postures performed in E.L.D.O.A allow individuals to create space between a chosen articulation, which leads to the improvement of joint mechanics and in turn relieves pressure from the discs. Creating space between the joints also leads to increased blood flow, spinal disc rehydration, better tone, and improved posture; all of which help reduce pain within the joints.

E.L.D.O.A postures are very specific compared to other techniques. Disc compression existing at any level of the spine can be addressed through a specific E.L.D.O.A exercise. If a client experiences pain because of compression between the 5th Lumbar and 1st Sacral, the de-coaptation position should target this exact level and not the one above or below. E.L.D.O.A's are not limited to just the spine. There are E.L.D.O.A postures for all joints of the sacrum and pelvis as well as the shoulders and skull.
